SALVATORE FERRAGAMO PRE-FALL 2022: LUXURY FROM MINIMALISM
In the Early Fall 2022 Collection, Salvatore Ferragamo breathes new life into its heritage, bringing avant-garde innovation to contemporary fashion.
In the new financial report, Salvatore Ferragamo said revenue grew 30% in 2021. Thus during the pandemic, the brand was once again profitable: a profit of 81 million euros in 2022 when compared to a loss of 72 million euros in 2020.
According to the new CEO Marco Gobbetti, the brand with a headquarters in Florence, Italy has a lot of potential. “This is a great brand built on family values and history, and I am excited to see future growth opportunities,” he said.
He also especially commended the design team of the company. “They did a great job” despite not having a creative director at the helm for the past year (former creative director Paul Andrew has left the brand since May 2021). Salvatore Ferragamo’s Spring Summer, Pre-Fall, and Fall Winter 2022 collections were all self-supported by the design team until the arrival of new creative director Maximilian Davis .
Despite the absence of a creative director, all of the above collections were praised for being faithful to the brand’s style. They have both bold traditional values and modernity in technology.
The Salvatore Ferragamo Pre-Fall 2022 collection emphasizes luxury from classic, minimalist lines.
Complementing a line of eyewear and footwear, Salvatore Ferragamo’s Pre-Fall 2022 collection offers a diverse selection of sustainable fashion and, once again, a testament to the fashion house’s efforts in fashion active activities to protect the planet.
The aesthetic philosophy of the collection is reflected in the impressive color palette. Prominent are many different reds, from slightly brick red to pomegranate: Aragosta red, Hibiscus red, Melagrana red. Alternating are Cedrata and Technicolor yellows, with contrasting Golfo blue, Bleached Denim blue. Neutrals are Calce white and Mangiarotti Carrara gray.
On a dark and classic background are the exclusive motifs of Salvatore Ferragamo. The palm leaf pattern by French artist Julien Colombier is brought back from the Spring/Summer 22 Collection, applied on loose-fitting kaftans, swimwear and tailored sportswear. Shirt and shorts are designed in cotton silk embroidered with Gancini motifs. And the men’s vestments are delicately woven dark blue jacquard.
As the main line of the Ferragamo collections, the Pre-Fall 2022 footwear design embodies assertiveness and appeal, decoding and rejuvenating the spirit of the Italian fashion house.
Designs include Gancini-detailed riding boots with strong heels for women, textured leather derby shoes or Chelsea boots for men, summer sandals, sustainable rubber and kudu loafers, studded sandals studs, feminine strappy sandals with hemline and a pair of sophisticated articulated Vara loafers.
In Early Fall 2022, Ferragamo introduces a half-moon bag design to complement the fashion house’s Bucket bag line.
The famous Ferragamo Studio Bag line is embellished with masculinity, flexibility and strength.
The Trifolio bag has been re-engineered with sustainable knitted fabrics for an attractive texture.
For the Pre-Fall 2022 season bags, Salvatore Ferragamo’s Gancini emblem is crafted as a keychain. This symbol is also applied to jewelry with unique abstract beauty.
Salvatore Ferragamo also introduces a new line of Pre-Fall 2022 sunglasses, produced according to the brand’s sustainability principles with 8 attractive color schemes.
The collection embodies the brand’s vision of combining traditional industry with contemporary creativity, resulting in radical designs based on the Ferragamo heritage.
