A Valentino show is always epic at every level, from the setting, and the collection to the front-row guests. And the front row of the show Valentino Haute Couture Spring Summer 2023 this year was noticed by thousands of people because of the appearance of the new ambassador Suga (real name Min Yoongi), a member of BTS.
Suga’s appearance at the Valentino show marked the first time the male artist participated in a reality show at Paris fashion week. When BTS was appointed as Louis Vuitton ambassador, it was during the ongoing global pandemic. The situation of preventing rivers from banning markets and closing borders between countries has caused reality shows to be replaced by online livestream shows. As a result, BTS mainly participates in Louis Vuitton’s activities in Korea (for example, the Men’s Fall Winter 2021 show), shoots advertising campaigns, and wears French brand designs at events.
Arriving at the show venue at the foot of the Alexandre III bridge, Suga chose a soft boyish outfit. The soft boy style has long been associated with BTS, so it’s not surprising that Suga continues to choose an outfit that brings this style to the front row of the Valentino Haute Couture show.
Light brown suit, one arm has a brand tag with the Valentino logo. The male artist wears the same beige shirt with a silk neckline. To create a monochrome (monochrome) play for the whole, Suga chose to coordinate the Valentino suit with a copper necklace and beige-toned shoes.
In early 2023, two BTS members were appointed as ambassadors for high-end brands: Jimin at Dior and Suga at Valentino. Just last week, both Jimin and J-Hope were in Paris, but it seems Suga was unable to reunite with the two BTS members, due to men’s fashion week and haute couture taking place in succession.
