Luxury jewelry brand Cartier has announced actress Elle Fanning as the newest Global Ambassador and the new face of the Grain de Café collection. To mark the beginning of her partnership with Cartier, Elle Fanning brought the Grain de Café collection to the biggest fashion event of the year, the Met Gala, exclusively in New York.
The Grain de Café collection was first launched in 1938 by legendary Creative Director Jeanne Toussaint. Since then, Grain de Café has become an iconic jewelry collection in the 1950s when it appeared with Princess Grace of Monaco, adding to the aura of glam and sophistication.
Clinging to Cartier’s DNA and stylistic language; glittering gold creations reminiscent of the Riviera sun, give the wearer a warm glow. Encrusted with diamonds or rubellites, Cartier jewelry takes the pure form of a coffee bean to preserve its noble originality.
Elle Fanning’s selection as the face of an upcoming campaign is inspired by the personality and talents of Princess Grace Kelly. The lady was closely associated with the French Riviera and the golden age of cinema. So, having Elle Fanning become a Cariter Global Ambassador seems like a “natural selection”.
