With the theme of Sustainable Fashion, the ELLE Fashion Show 2017 catwalk opened an impressive performance space inspired by the white cotton fields like clouds in the sky. When models wearing designs imbued with Vietnamese spirit strut around the soft cotton dunes, viewers easily associate the image of village girls walking in the fields in the past.
With the talented mind of an artist, Stage Director Cao Trung Hieu was very subtle when he decided to create the “eye” in the space of White Palace. The high arch system and the long and narrow hall create depth for the stage, attracting all eyes to the “eyeball” which is a hemisphere of the sentence at the “origin point”. Behind the hemisphere, 700 m of 3D matrix LEDs work in harmony to create unique light shows, carefully calculated when combined with the music and colors of each collection.
What few people expect is that the “eye” is made up of 1200 bottles of mineral water and 5000 white plastic bags to fully express the spirit of Fashion For Tomorrow. With concerns about human consciousness and behavior in the living environment, for the first time, director Cao Trung Hieu used recycled materials for the performance technology and created eye-catching effects. unforgettable impression for guests attending ELLE Fashion Journey 2018.
In 2022, ELLE Fashion Show once again returns after many years of absence with the theme Dream of New Beginnings – Towards new beginnings, bringing convincing stories and perspectives of successive generations of fashion designers. Vietnam fashion industry through the collection of 4 brands: Hanoi, Chats by C.Dam, Khaar, and Subtle Le Nguyen.
