Participating in the ELLE Fashion Show for the first time and also introducing a complete collection on the runway for the first time, SUBTLE LE NGUYEN’s Spring – Summer 2023 collection focuses on the concept of “fluidity” – flexibility, and ease of rotation. to convey messages of community, equality, and empathy. Inspired by Vietnamese culture, art, and indigenous heritages, SUBTLE LE NGUYEN’s costumes use draping techniques to create soft shapes, pleated effects to simulate ethnic dresses, and the shape of the communal roof of the Bana people is reproduced on the bags made of leather.

With this collection, SUBTLE LE NGUYEN brings a sense of no limits or barriers in terms of gender and standards of beauty. The designs are not only aimed at a diversity of orientations but also save the hope of an ideal society of love and equality, both modern and hidden with nostalgia about Vietnamese history and culture. HANOIA’s fashion creative director, designer Tom Trandt , has brought a modern and youthful fashion collection. The designs in the collection focus on practicality and a youthful feel, HANOIA’s signature lacquer technique is delicately combined with fashion products that anyone can easily use.
CHATS by C.DAM’s “Figure” collection at ELLE Fashion Show 2022 paints the image of a strong woman who is always in control of her dreams. The costumes of CHATS have many shapes and sharp, straight cuts, inspired by the minimalist, definitive drawings of Mondrian paintings in the early 20th century.
The collection is also the designer’s game with the concept of “opposite”. in the form of menswear with strong cuts but still with the flightiness and flexibility of the shape of the ao dai; in the short to the long ratio between the shirt and the skirt; in the multi-layered structure between the pleated and the smooth surface…
The designs portray the beauty of the body in a balanced and harmonious way but make the viewer flutter because of the indescribable surreal feeling, especially with the part. representations of gender-neutral and multi-faceted models that go beyond conventional stereotypes.
Surprise in the show CHATS by C.DAM is the image of supermodel Minh Tu… reverse catwalk. Going backward on the narrow and 130m long runway, every step of Minh Tu makes viewers nervous to watch. The music is created as an “acoustic illusion”, with the intention of creating a sense of tension, holding, as if endlessly repeating and lasting forever, combined with the supermodel’s reverse catwalk. Minh Tu, creates an extremely “cinematic” moment – a time-lapse trick often seen in movies.
Step back in time with a very futuristic style! With this conceptual performance, it seems that designer Cuong Dam wants to return to the beginning, the time when he took his first steps on the creative journey. A person who always remembers the beginning will never lose himself, it is the foundation to go further the next day.
