for sure! I have heard recently that if you put yourself down in front of your daughters it can give them low self esteem. They end up thinking the same thing about themselves. I remember while shopping & watching my mom try on clothes she would always say, “I have such short legs, I am so long waisted.” I say the same thing. Personalized american flag sunflower pig carbon pm 2,5 face mask Thank goodness she is confident now & loves herself. My dad never ever did this, but so many men put women down & ruin their self esteem. Kids, the one’s getting picked on and the one’s doing the picking, ALL learn this behavior from adults, as they weren’t born understanding stereotypes and stigmas. That’s all learned behavior.
It can be parents and what they watch on tv, magazines they read. Who they associate with. It can be teachers. It can be any adult they come into contact with or overhear. It’s only common sense to say we all need to check ourselves from time to time. We are all guilty. Not one person can say they haven’t insulted or talked negatively about someone based on how they look, and kids see that. Exactly what I thought. Somebody has been telling this baby that she Is ugly. Tjatnk God for Mom building up her self-esteem. She will never forget that. Words are powerful!!! Regardless if that are negative or positive. Children learn from everything. That works for the kids they learn from too, right?
