I’m getting the vibe that this is something to be almost proud of, to where you think “only” black people have been abused to “only” black peoples’ extent. Vintage black cat anti-dust cotton face mask The fact is that all races have and still face discrimination for as long as we live. To say “let them know how we feel,” is pretty selfish on your part. First of all I do not want to feel how you feel, whatever that maybe be, and second if you refer to discrimination and trash talk, I’m all in it as a Filipino American. I don’t even have to explain myself, everyone( not every individual but every race) has at some point faced the same discrimination. So don’t think you’re so special. Stop acting like martyrs. Other races were treated horribly as well. They educated themselves, worked hard, and I have NEVER once heard an Irish or Italian person cry about it.
And sadly, they were victims of horrible discrimination. Yes, racism is sickening. On all sides. It should never, ever have happened. But you cant make that your legacy. Especially when there is much racism on both side. Three hundred years of chattel slavery, one hundred years of the murderous Jim Crow era, and present day New Jim Crowism. It is very white of you to tell black people who are still facing the legacy of slavery in the form of institutionalized white racism to simply “get over it”. What you need to do is “get over” your ingrained racial superiority, bigotry, and white privilege. Can you let us know what happened to the other Hundreds or thousands of years throughout not just “black” but as well as general African decent or other world cultures like throughout asia or europe? You’re only focused on telling us about a small fragment of history
