I am aware this is very minor in helping mitigate climate change, but it is good to start somewhere Climate change is occurring at a rapid rate and global warming is threatening the world at an alarming pace. The world is heating up and at this rate it will great massive problems as our air becomes polluted and the oceans rise. It is not okay to continue to litter and produce as much waste as we do because eventually we will run out of place to get rid of waste. We pump toxins all over the place whether its in the ocean or in the air. If we keep putting shit in our earth, eventually we’ll receive what’s due and it will be a giant catastrophe. Today, with my current state of knowledge, I believe that climate change is real and occurring now. Last semester at Cornell, I took a course relating to the current changing weather and climate conditions. This course exposed me to the scientific evidence that supports these changes. Although this course gave me the information as well as a basis that enhances my belief of the existence of climate change, I know that I could still learn more. While I currently believe that climate change is real, my hope is to gain the knowledge needed to further support this claim. Climate change is REAL. It is utterly unacceptable to deny its existence. Climate change is due to increased burning of fossil fuels which adds carbon dioxide to our environment resulting in global warming.
