When asked about the metaverse and the technological advancements that everyone is discussing, Dior’s Creative Director was not very enthusiastic and directed the conversation to an issue that she was really “passionate about”. “I like human time. I love crafts and want to fulfill my two biggest passions . ” That is how the Haute Couture collection has been “sculpted” from the creative elite to enhance the beauty of the forms.

The show was held at the Rodin Museum, which showcases works by two artists Madhvi and Manu Pare. All paintings are hand embroidered based on original drawings within 280,000 hours by 380 artisans from Chanakya Craft School, India. A multi-color space in stark contrast to the BST is crystallized in the “diamond palette” of black , white and gray.

Maria Grazia Chiuri gambled on the finest craftsmanship of fashion houses to escape the blind spot of visual effects. The journey of the “ladies” who are protected and cared for to every needle point in the bustling city begins.

The Atelier has always been the brains behind the creation process from dream to reality, where ingenious craftsmanship and wondrous ideals meet at the rendezvous of couture. Binding technique becomes a three-dimensional concept for creating structure for designs.

It interacts with the material in the choreography of movements, subtly bringing out each smooth and sharp line. The dramatic rhythm of the swing between gorgeous crystal and spotless white silk results in “white but not faded” outfits.

The clean and neat cuts of each garment allow the viewer to analyze and perceive the distinct tailoring technique. Chiuri prides herself on the craftsmanship of her craftsmen and adores the innate charm of her figure, letting her sleek, minimalist designs confidently join the ranks of Haute Couture and pioneer an avant-garde of her own. .

The dialogue of materials is sometimes exhilarating in a flying maxi dress, and sometimes settles in tight leggings and bodysuits to create emotions. Sometimes, they work together to mask an ingenious twist that’s been carefully prepared, like sparkling tights lurking under a veil of organza.

For Dior, embroidery is not only deeply rooted in the history of the fashion house, but also a pivotal point in the transition from fashion to art. The simplicity of the off-the-shoulder design allows the embroidery to shine like tiny, “gem-encrusted” specks of light to a woman’s body.

Invisible meticulousness emerges in the delicate folds of patience, and Chiuri calls it a spiritual therapy. “During Christmas, I was actually a little bit depressed because I thought we were done with COVID, and then I saw the numbers go up again. So maybe, I need to feel calm.”

A lot of inspiration from the art of ballet was used. From the style of wearing tights to the sweet dancing shoes. But perhaps it became more satirical when fitted with a small, hard-to-see and performable kitten heels.
