Mark Ong graduated from Temasek Polytechnic’s Department of Visual Communication. He has a special interest in “customizing” shoes since he was 15 years old, but he also thinks it is just a personal preference. Until 2003, when he won an international competition on the Nike Talk forum under the stage name Mr Sabotage, he realized this was his possible career.

Collection SBTG x Limited Edt x Asics GEL-LYTE™: Inspired by the monsoon atmosphere in the city of Singapore, SBTG has partnered with Singapore’s leading sports shoe retailer Limited Edt to launch the MONSOON PATROL collection. These are specially designed shoes that can adapt to the weather, and accentuate the sense of adventure through the military motifs imprinted with Asics Sportstyle’s iconic GEL-LYTE™.

Immediately after the competition, the Atmos sports shoe store in Japan contacted Mark to place a large order of up to 72 pairs of shoes. Without thinking much about the business brand name, Mark took the name SBTG (short for Sabotage) to get to work. And up to now, SBTG has officially become a valuable brand.

The product range is not only limited to sports shoes, but also extends to other areas of the fashion sector such as clothing, leather accessories, watches… SBTG has cooperated with famous sports shoe brands. such as Nike, Reebok, Asics, Puma,… and even brands that are not in the field of sports shoes such as Casio, G-Shock, etc.

In addition to his design talent, Mark Ong also loves to tell stories. This is also a strong point that makes his “custom” shoes always lively and meaningful. Born and raised in Singapore, a country with a diverse culture with interesting stories, Mark skillfully integrates those stories through his emotional designs.

New Balance Urban Islander x SBTG Limited Edt.: This collection embodies the idea of ​​Singapore’s charming contrasts, being both a modern metropolis and a perfect tropical beach for a getaway. This is also the first collection marking New Balance’s cooperation with SBTG and Limited Etd .

SBTG is a domestic brand present in the Made With Passion project – a national initiative of Singapore to honor domestic brands that have inspired and positive spirit, turning passions into reality. Along with other local lifestyle brands, STBG is adding color and vibrancy to Singapore.
