I live in the Lower Mainland of BC: my mom had a stroke about a year ago – after the stroke, she was almost non-verbal and she couldn’t even hold a pen to sign her name. My husband rushed me to Emergency one night after the heart cramps I had been having for a few hours, suddenly intensified.
After getting to Emerg and telling them about my heart cramps and dizziness, I finally saw a doctor after *6* hours. He came and asked a couple of generic questions and off he went for another 2 hours while I was left in the waiting room, with no idea what they were doing or if I should go home or not. Zero follow-up from them and my regular heart cramps are still undiagnosed. My dad has recently been diagnosed with cancer (after complaining to the doctors here for almost 2 years about his excruciating back pain and other symptoms; they kept telling him it was just arthritis) – the care he has received so far has been abysmal. Miscommunication between different docters, them mixing his meds up, not telling him about important appointments that he was supposed to attend,
